Geography
Simdega district covers an area of approximately 3,774 square kilometres and is located in the southwestern part of Jharkhand.
The district shares boundaries with Gumla and Khunti in the north, West Singhbhum in the east, Chhattisgarh and Odisha in the south and Odisha in the west.

History
